Betsy Wise has been living, performing, and teaching in the Gallatin Valley for 20 years.

Writing songs as a teenager translated into years of solo performing, Montana Women's Chorus singing and directing, and playing with the band Hooligans.

Her love of music and teaching brought Betsy to Elementary Music in rural school settings and more recently private guitar and voice lessons. Working with the Montana Women's Chorus for years has solidified her interest in promoting and empowering women's/girls voices.

This wide range of teaching (guitar, vocal and ukelee and performing experiences make Betsy a great facilitator for musical exploration and learning. She is also a trained art teacher which makes her uniquely qualified to lead GirlSing's interpretive art project.
